TERMS AND CONDITIONS OF GLAMOUR MOVING CORP. 

AGREEMENT. These Terms and Conditions (“Terms and Conditions”) constitute a binding contract by and between Customer (“Customer”) and Glamour Moving Corp. (“Glamour Moving”). Customer accepts these Terms and Conditions by placing an Order (“Order”) with Glamour Moving for services (“Services). 

PRELIMINARY. Glamour Moving is a moving and delivery company, which offers wide moving services and delivery services. In these Terms and Conditions, singular words shall include the plural and vice versa, the work “person” shall include corporations and business entities and where there is more than one customer, they shall be bound jointly and severally under these conditions. 

VARIATION. The Terms and Conditions may be altered by mutual consent of Glamour Moving and the Customer. Glamour Moving’s consent for any alteration may only be given by its President and must be evidenced in writing. 

ESTIMATES/QUOTATION: Quotations as to fees, rates or other charges given by Glamour Moving to the Customer are for informational purposes only and are subject to change without notice; no quotation shall be binding upon Glamour Moving unless expressly agreed to in writing. There may be additional charges for transportation of items not included in the original estimate or any additional services that may be required. The rate for Services to be rendered can be determined only after visually inspecting the items to be delivered or moved. 

PACKING SERVICES: Glamour Moving offers packing services at an additional cost. Any packing and/or unpacking performed by Glamour Moving will be additionally charged to Customer. Quotes and rates for our Packing Services will include protective material and other supplies that our professionals deem necessary to protect your items. Should Customer choose to not use our packing services and require supplies, we can provide Customer with supplies at additional fee. 

ADDITIONAL FEES: Additional fee applies to large appliances (refrigerators, washing machines, dryers, freezers and stoves). Pianos carry a fee of $250 for a spinet, $350 for an upright, $450 for a baby grand. Where an elevator is not available for use of movers, additional fees will apply on deliveries and pick ups which are not on the ground floor. 

PAYMENT METHOD: For your convenience, there are several means of payment available: Certified Check, Cash, Visa or MasterCard, Money Order, Cashier’s Check and Wire Transfer. Be advised that on some forms of payment a convenience fee may be applied. All invoices must be settled in full prior to Glamour Moving beginning Services. 

RESCHEDULING/CANCELLATION POLICY: Glamour Moving requires a 48-hour notice in the event of cancellation or rescheduling of a pick-up and/or move in order to avoid a cancellation/rescheduling fee in the amount of $200.00. Glamour Moving reserves the right to request that your move and/or pick-up be rescheduled to an alternate date and time in the event that an unforeseen event or emergency occurs, including but not limited to Acts of God which is not in our control. In the event that Glamour Moving is required to reschedule/cancel a pick-up or move, pursuant to this paragraph, we will not be responsible or liable for any penalty, hardships, direct or consequential damages you or any third party may encounter. 

RIGHT OF REFUSAL: In the event that there is an irresolvable dispute or conditions which, at our sole discretion, we consider dangerous, unsanitary, or abusive, our company reserves the right to refuse our services and will not be responsible or liable for any penalty, hardships, direct or consequential damages you or any third party may encounter. 

LOSS OR DAMAGE: Damages rarely occur because of the extreme cautiousness the movers use when moving, but it may occur from time to time. At the beginning of every move or pick-up, Glamour Moving will inspect all items to be moved and/or transported with the Customer. Glamour Moving is not 

responsible for damage to items the Customer packs unless there is clear evidence of mishandling. Should you choose not to use our packing services, you must sign a release of liability. Glamour Moving is only responsible for items in our immediate care, custody, and control. If you discover damage after your move, contact us within 30 days of the day the Services were provided. No claim will be processed exceeding the time limit. We are not responsible for any missing items after the movers have left your premises. You are responsible to inspect our truck and make sure all your belongings are accounted for prior to the mover’s departure your premises. In the event a claim is processed and Glamour Moving is deemed responsible for the damages caused, Glamour Moving reserves the right to procure its own estimate of the cost to fully repair damages caused by Glamour Moving. 

ACCESS: You are required to ensure that access is given to Glamour Moving at all times during pick-up and delivery so that Glamour Moving may provide any and all Services contracted for. 

ARRIVAL TIME: Please note that all times given are estimated times of arrival and may vary between 2-3 hours. Your patience in this regard is highly appreciated. 

LIST OF INVENTORY: All items that require transportation must be indicated on your inventory list. Customer responsibility for all items loaded to be written in the inventory list. Claim for items not on the inventory list will not be process. Please ensure that all the items listed on your inventory list are loaded by our team prior to the departure of the vehicle as Mia Movers will not return for forgotten items. Please inspect the vehicle subsequent to the unloading for goods which might have stayed behind. 

RELEASED VALUATION COVERAGE: Released Valuation Coverage is provided on all items damaged on site while in the possession of our movers. 

EXCLUDED ITEMS: Items packed by the Customer and special care items are excluded from Glamour Moving’s insurance coverage. 

TIPS: Our movers work hard to ensure that your items are delivered safely to its destination. Glamour Moving recommends a gratuity of 15-20% should the Customer be satisfied with the services provided. Although not mandatory, tipping is customary. 

ARBITRATION: Any claim or controversy arising among or between the parties hereto pertaining to this Agreement shall be subject to and finally settled by Arbitration in accordance with the rules of the American Arbitration Association before a sole arbitrator. The award of the Arbitrator shall be binding, and judgment may be entered thereon in any court of competent jurisdiction. Any arbitration shall be held in New York, NY. 

GOVERNING LAW. These Terms and Conditions will be governed by the laws of the State of New York 

SEVERABILITY: In the event any Paragraph(s) and/or portion(s) hereof is found to be invalid and/or unenforceable, the remainder hereof shall remain in full force and effect. A waiver by Glamour Moving of any provision herein, whether express or implied, shall not be deemed a waiver of any other provision herein. 

Over the last few weeks, COVID-19, also known as the coronavirus, has become a global topic of concern. Glamour Moving Corp. has been closely monitoring the situation and will continue to evaluate the information supplied by the CDC, WHO, and the public health officials in the communities in which we do business, and follow the recommendations provided by those organizations concerning public health and safety; our primary concern will always be the safety and well-being of our employees, customers and vendors.

Our Facility is currently open and will be continuing operations with the added implementation of best practices to protect the health and safety of our staff.  We have advance planning for a number of possible scenarios in the coming weeks and will send out notification if we anticipate any delays in the shipping of orders.
